Idaho Wineries
Although Idaho may be best known for its potatoes, there are many
other reasons that this state has a lot to offer. Most people are
not aware that the state of Idaho offers some of the best wineries
in the entire country. While there are not as many wineries in Idaho
as there are in some other states, the ones that are available have
a lot to offer. Not to mention the fact that they do a lot of
business year in and year out.
The wine that is sold in the many restaurants and stores in the
state come mostly from Idaho wineries. Of course there are
exceptions to this rule, but most establishments prefer to buy from
Idaho wineries so that they can keep the business within the state.
And this is quite easy to do when you take into consideration all of
the wine that is produced at these wineries each year. Some of the
bigger Idaho wineries produce in upwards of 10,000 cases of wine
annually. This includes a wide variety of wines including
Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, Viognier, and Roussanne among many
others.
If you live in the state or are visiting you may want to consider
taking a trip to an Idaho winery. Not only will you be able to see
how the wine is produced, but you can also taste some of the
offerings that are available. Most Idaho wineries have a tasting
room that allows visitors to experience the wines that are produced
on site.
As you can see, Idaho wineries have quite a bit to offer. Many of
these wineries have won national awards, and it is easy to see why.
If you ever have the chance to visit an Idaho winery you should take
advantage.
